The iOS app
The Health vs Habits app collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Your saved products, viewing history and scanned barcodes are stored only on your device and never transmitted to us or anyone else. The app's only network request fetches our public product-ratings catalog (a static file) from this website. The camera is used solely to read product barcodes when you open the Scan tab; images never leave the device and are not stored.
The website
healthvshabits.com uses Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymization) to understand aggregate site usage — pages visited and general region. We don't sell data or use it for advertising. If you join the newsletter, we store your email address (in Google Firebase) solely to send you ranking updates; unsubscribe anytime and we'll delete it. Outbound product links may be affiliate links (disclosed site-wide); the merchant handles any purchase — we never see your payment details.
Your choices & contact
To have your newsletter email deleted, or for any privacy question, write to hello@healthvshabits.com. In the app, deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
